Do NOT waste this on divining a playing card. If you have the power to know someone's thoughts (name of the first person they kissed, name of their pet, the place where they went to school, their credit card PIN, how many people they've been romantically involved with), you don't go around and do card tricks.

Think about how your spectators will tell that story. Here's how it usually sounds: "He got my card!"

You just read their mind and those are the words you'll hear them say to their friends.

Now their friends are imagining a magician who said, "Take a card, any card. Now put it back in the deck. Look! There's your card." In short, you are forgettable.

You can read minds, so act like it.
If you want to convince someone you can know their thought of playing card, this is no better than a classic force. In fact, it's worse because it's less clean, more convoluted, and takes longer.

Using this to divine a playing card is silly. It's like buying a handgun to kill a housefly.

When using an imp pad like this I make a point to restrict the participant in the following ways:

1. Think of someone NOT in this room (this is for two reasons: it's less impressive when you reveal someone standing right next to them or someone you might have talked to (even if you didn't); you're more likely to get a normal name)

2. "Write down the first name of someone you're gonna talk to soon, and you're gonna show it to Michael there so make sure he can read it clearly." This is so that they don't pick a dead person and that they don't write "Hrisovalantis" and instead go with "Henry." It also pressures them to write clearly.
It's not 100%, obviously, but trust me, you will be glad you did this.

I have both the Parapad and the Psypher.
Even though they are pretty much the same exact thing (the Psypher marker works on the Parapad), having used the Parapad, I found the Psypher didn't work as well as the Parapad (maybe I got a dud). "Impressions" are clearer with the Parapad.

P.S. An imp pad does not give you better reactions than a center tear, a good peek, or even a classic force. If you can already do one of the above, do not think that once you get a Psypher your reactions will be any better.

If you can do a center tear (such as R2D2 or T-Rex) in 5 seconds, and this Psypher imp pad adds 5 more seconds to your procedure, then it's not necessarily sensible to switch to an imp pad.
